For the first time ever since franchise, Houston Astros clinched to the 2017 World Series title on Nov 1, 2017. Not long ago, Houston was heavily devastated by Hurricane Harvey. This tremendous success brought by Houston Astros has found a way to help recovery the city from the natural disaster. To celebrate this achievement, the city holds a parade in downtown Houston today, Nov 3, 2017. Houston Governor Abbot also proclaims today as Houston Astros day. Albert Chen Photography has this opportunity to join the crowds and witness the special achievements. Visit my website to view more photos from today's parade. Go Astros!!!

Hurricane Harvey hit hard in the city of Houston by bringing heavy rainfall, one trillion gallons, in four days in late August, 2017. The scene was captured in a neighborhood nearby my home. The whole community was flooded, and the road can’t be seen due to the water. A man paddled a kayak across the underwater street to get his valuable belongings from his flooded home.
The city of Houston was devastated by the hurricane Harvey in late August, 2017. Many homes were flooded due to heavy rainfall brought by the hurricane. This scene was captured in the aftermath. A young boy was playing a song on a waterlogged piano behind the pile of debris from a flooded home. I don’t know the song he played but it sounded very sentimental to me. The song was as if expressing his frustration against the natural disaster.

Houstonian, do you know Kemah, TX has firework every Friday in June and July in observance of July 4th holiday? Check out this firework photo I took at Kemah this year. It's not a classical one but has an artistic atmosphere by its own.
